The 40 student teams which represent 25 public and private universities continue their participation in activities of the "Smart Cities Hackathon", which is held at Benha University.
Students are working on implementing prototypes of their innovative solutions for the ten tracks identified within the Hackathon events which includes; Smart buildings, smart facilities, smart parks, smart transportation-traffics, smart hospitals, smart recycling, smart monitoring, smart energy, smart management, smart schools and universities. It is noteworthy that the Hackathon activities are going to be held in cooperation between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Amazon Web Services and under the auspices of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the period from 2432022 to 2632022. It is worth mentioning that the winning teams in the Hackathon are going to receive financial prizes totaling 100,000 Egyptian pounds that provided by Benha University. In addition to getting valuable prizes provided by Amazon Web Services, the winners will also have a great opportunity to market their innovations to the new Egyptian private universities.

Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, Prof.Dr.Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Scientific Research announced that the Technical Committee for examining the scientific production at Benha University announced the results of International Publication and Citations Rewards, January 2022 under auspices of Prof.Dr.Gamal Sosa , Benha University President .
Prof.Dr.Nasser El Gizawy also added that International Publication and Citations Rewards, January 2022 comes within the framework of improving the output of scientific research at the University and encouraging the faculty members staff to publish their research in international scientific journals. El Gizawy also mentioned that the total number of submitted Scientific papers are (504) and they were distributed among 10 Faculties: Commerce, Specific Education, Computers and Artificial Intelligence, Agriculture, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Science, Applied Arts, , Shubra Engineering and Benha Engineering with a rate of 33.7% of the total submitted research and an increase of 6% over the result of the July 2021 session, which indicates the quality of the University's scientific research outputs, in addition to (145) Q2 research, and (83) Q3 research, and ( 28) Q4 search. Prof.Dr.Gamal Sosa, Benha University President witnessed the Graduation Ceremony for Faculty of Medicine Students' Batch 34.
The Graduation Ceremony was held in presence of Prof. Tamer Samir, Benha University Vice-President for Education and Students ' Affairs, Dr.Mohamed El Ashhab, Faculty of Medicine dean, Faculty of Medicine deputies ', the former deans, the head of Physicians at Physician Syndicate, Faculty Members' staff and students .During the ceremony, Dr. Gamal Sosa stressed that the political leadership pays great importance to the medical staff and the effort they have made during Corona virus pandemic, which gives a wonderful example of sacrifice and redemption of Egypt's white army of Physicians and nurses. For his part, Dr.Gamal Sosa thanked all the graduated students for their great efforts and excellence that they were able to achieve during years of study. On the other hand, Dr.Mohamed Gamal El Ashhab, the Faculty of Medicine dean confirmed on developing the concept of the University's role in community service by graduating qualified doctors to compete in the labor market, as well as developing the medical service provided to patients at the University Hospitals.

Prof. Dr. Gamal Sosa, Benha University President announced that Benha University has got the renewal of the ISO 9001-2015 certificate after reviewing the quality management system of Benha University administration .
Benha University President congratulated all the staff at Benha University on this occasion, stressing that this success was a reflection of the outstanding performance of applying standards of total quality systems. Benha University President has added that renewing the ISO 9001 - 2015 certificate confirms the University= 's excellence in applying international standards of quality. Dr.Gamal Sosa expressed his happiness with this success. He also assured that the University is keen on proceeding according to a future plan and vision that keeps pace with the state= 's requirements in the continuous development of the educational and research process.

Leadership Selection Committee at Benha University held its meeting to interview candidatures who applied for Faculty of Law deanship.
The meeting was headed by Prof. Dr. Gamal Sosa, Benha University President and membership of the following members Dr. Shaban Taha, the former Vice president for Education and Students Affairs, Dr.Ibrahim Mansour, the former dean for Faculty of Law at Benha University, Dr. El Sayed El Araby Hassan, from Helwan University and Dr. Ismael Ibrahim from Alex University. The Committee listened to their opinions, plans, vision and the ability to make decisions and solve problems. For his part, Prof.Gamal Sosa confirmed that the selection of leaders is done according to their efficiency, previous performance and Experience.
