General Rules for Obtaining Postgraduate Diplomas of both Types

(Professional, Specialty)

These are studies that deal with courses of practical nature for one academic year or two years. It is an applied scientific addition aimed at improving the professional level of the student in the different fields in which he works after graduating from the Faculty of Arts, the study of the Diploma is independent.

The study of the specialized diploma has enabled the student with a degree (B +) to join the master's program.

Other new diplomas may be added with the approval of the University Council upon the approval of the College Council and the recommendation of the Council of the relevant scientific section and with the approval of the Literature Sector Committee. More than one scientific department may participate in the implementation of the postgraduate diplomas.

Registration Terms:

The registration of a student for obtaining any of the postgraduate diplomas in addition to the conditions stipulated in Article (5):

1. Must have a bachelor's degree in the specialization branch of the Faculty of Arts or corresponding colleges at Benha University or elsewhere.
2. The College Council may accept the registration of a student who has a Bachelor's degree in non-specialization after successfully passing a number of supplementary courses determined by the concerned department. The cumulative average of these courses should not be less than (C). These courses are not counted within the program hours.
3. In order for a student to obtain a diploma, he / she must complete 10 to 30 credit hours, according to the regulations of each department.
4. In order to obtain the Diploma of Postgraduate Studies in both the vocational and the specialized fields, the student must pass the diploma courses in which he is registered with a grade not less than (C).
   1. To study in a specific diploma, the number of students admitted to a diploma should not be less than 10 (ten).

Program Hours:

1. Table (3) shows the courses in the various diplomas and the number of credit hours for each course. The College Council approves the subjects taught in each course, which are determined by the councils of the relevant scientific departments; which follow the College Code and the Code of the relevant scientific section.
2. The average grade of the student is calculated as the cumulative average at the end of the academic year or the end of his / her studies for a particular degree, ie, the average grade in all the courses in which the student succeeded, and the courses are evaluated according to the table (2).
