BU participates in the Virtual Forum of AAU

Under the auspices of Prof. Gamal El Saeed - Benha University President "BU", the University participated in the Virtual Forum for the African Higher Education Institutions which held by the Association of African Universities "AAU" at Alazher University.
Prof. Nasser El Gizawy, BU Vice-president for Postgraduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs said that BU was represented by Prof. Ahmed Youssef, the Director of the International Students Unit and Prof. Mahran El Naggar, the Director of the International Relations Office.
El Gizawy added that AAU is the voice of higher education in Africa and the Forum is considered an opportunity for consultation, exchange of information and cooperation between higher education institutions in Africa. He also said that the Forum aims to provide the opportunity for African higher education institutions to communicate and acquaintance by introducing each institution to itself in order to enhance cooperation between African higher education institutions and achieve the development for the African continent.

Prof. Gamal El Saeed, Benha University "BU" President said that 14 scientists from BU have got 7 ranks in various scientific fields according to the list of Stanford University for World's Top 2% Scientists.
In this regard, El Saeed congratulated the University's scientists named in the World's Top 2% Scientists' List wishing more success for them during their careers.
Prof. Nasser El Gizawy, BU Vice-president for Postgraduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs said that the appearance of some BU scientists in this international report is a significant achievement for the researchers of BU, as it indicates the quality of their research outputs, referring that the report depends on the Scopus database of Elsevier, which published recently in the PLOS Biology and classified into 22 scientific disciplines and 176 sub- disciplines.

In the frame of activating the cooperation agreements between Benha University and China's universities, the Sector of Postgraduate Studies and Researches' Affairs announces for the doctorate scholarships from Harbin Institute of Technology "HIT" to Benha University young researchers in the following fields:

During her visit to a number of productive farms at the Faculty of Agriculture in Moshtohor; Prof. Dr. Randa Mustafa, Benha University Vice-president for Community Service and Environment Development Affairs confirmed the necessity of working to develop the performance of productive centers and units with a special nature at the level of university faculties It is worth mentioning that the tour included inspection for the greenhouses, vegetables, ornamental, and the farms of fish, animal production, rabbit, and poultry farm in the presence of Dr. Mahmoud Iraqi, the Faculty Dean, Faculty Vice-deans, and a number of faculty members.

Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs said that Prof. Dr. Gamal El Saeed, the University President has approved to open the applying for the new course of International Publication and Citations Rewards, July 2020 which will be started from Tuesday, August 04, 2020 for one month He added that the papers accepted in this course are those that were published during the years 2019 and 2020, and have not been submitted during the previous courses and the number of citations will be calculated based on the last 5 years, according to the declared calculations of faculty member on Google Scholar; referring that anyone who has a Google Scholar account for paper that does not belong to him or who submitted research previously paid financial rewards for it in previous courses, will be blocked from the rewards of the University 's programs for researches support.

 

Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs announced for the success of a research team from the faculty of engineering at Shubra in designing various concrete elements to make pervious concrete used in road works to protect it from liquids, especially rainwater pools Prof. Dr. Taha Awadallah, the assistant professor at the faculty and the principal researcher of the study said that A patent application has been presented to the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology. He also added that the research will be published in the specified scientific journals

In the light of keeping pace with scientific and technological development in the field of applied sciences and using it in the sustainable development; the Faculty of Science, Benha University will organize its annual conference about the applied arts and the sustainable development under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Gamal El Saeed, the University President in the duration from Sep27 to 28, 2020 at the University Great Celebration Hall. In this regard, Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, the University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Researches'Affairs said that the conference will be organized with taking all the appropriate precautionary measures, adding that the conference aims to exchange experiences among the participants and present the latest applied scientific researches that achieve the goals of sustainable development

 

With collaboration of the Egyptian Space Agency "ESA", the events of the Summer School for Space Science have been launched today by participation of students from 24 Egyptian universities at the branch of Benha University in Obour city. It is worth mentioning that events have been launched under the auspices of Dr. Gamal El Saeed, the University President and Dr. Mohamed El-Koosy, the Executive Director of ESA. El Saeed said that more than 2000 students at the level of the Egyptian Universities had applied for the Summer School and 400 of them have been chosen to attend the training courses indicating that the University has provided all of its capabilities in cooperation with ESA to host the summer training courses. He said also that all precautionary measures have been taken by disinfecting and sterilizing all halls in which students will be trained, adding that the University Hostel in Shubra has received the delegations of universities participating in the events. In the same context; Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, the University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs said that the Summer School in the field of science and technology of space and satellite aims to spread knowledge of space science among Egyptian university students, to link their academic studies with practical reality.

BU runs the Electronic Exams Center

The Electronic Exams Center, Benha University has conducted the first experimental electronic test for the students at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
In this regard, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Fattah, the Center Director said that all necessary preparations and equipment have been completed, including the connection of the communications network and the Internet.
It is worth mentioning that the Electronic Exams Center has 700 computers on 12 computer labs to conduct electronic exams for 700 students in same time and all laboratories are equipped with CCTV.

 

Prof. Gamal El Saeed, Benha University President received Mr. Idris Ahmed Al-Jazwi, the Assistant Cultural and Academic Attaché at the Libyan Embassy in Cairo in the presence of Prof. Nasser El Gizawy, the University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Researches' Affairs and Prof. Ahmed Yousef, the Director of the University International Students Unit.
In this regard, El Saeed said that the meeting discussed the aspects of joint cooperation between the University and the Libyan Embassy and how to support Libyan students at the University in different stages, indicating that the University has many distinguished faculties and programs that include all modern scientific disciplines in various fields as It seeks to develop services provided to the international students.
