Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ali Shams El Din, the President of Benha University; the University will organize the 1st scientific conference of libraries and information in the duration from 24/11 to 25/11/2015 under the title of “Challenges of the University Libraries in the 3rd Millennium”.

     Benha University announces vacancies for faculty members as following: 1- Manager of Open Learning Center 2- Manager of the General Service Center for Information and Research Services 3- General Supervisor of Printing Center 4- Manager of Information Technology Center 5- Manger of the Engineering Consultation Center 6- Manager of the Future Studies Center. Deadline for applying is Tuesday, 17/11/2015. 

        Prof. Dr. Hesham Abu El Enin, the University Vice-president for Postgraduate Studies and Researches’ Affairs said that the University is working to develop the labs of the faculties to cope with the technological and scientific progress in the world. He added that programs have been designed to train the technicians of labs on the best way to use the modern devices. 

      Benha University has launched an initiative under the title of “NO To Terrorism” in solidarity with efforts of the State in facing this brutal enemy. Prof. Dr. Gamal Sousa, the General Supervisor of the University Hostels said that a youth initiative has been launched with participation of all sports teams to deliver a message to all Egyptian students that "we are fighting terrorism and the Egyptian people appears in adversities" pointing out that the state is stronger than any terrorism

        The Sector of Community Service and Environment Development has held an analytical scientific research about the needs of labor market in Qalyoubia. In this regard, Prof. Dr. Ali Shams El Din, the University President said that the University since its establishment seeks to develop and improve the programs and curricula for promoting the level of its graduates and preparing the studies necessary to needs of labor market

     The e-portal of Benha University monitors the activity of the University delegation in the International Exhibition and Conference for Higher Education for the Middle East (Taleem2015). It is worth mentioning that the University delegation which includes Prof. Dr. Hesham Abu El Enin, the University Vice-president for Postgraduate Studies and Researches’ Affairs; Prof. Dr. Hosny Mahran, the Dean of the Faculty of Commerce; and Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, the Director of the University E-portal put the final touches of the University pavilion in the Exhibition on Sunday, 01/11/2015.

        Prof. Dr. Ali Shams El Din, the President of Benha University and Dr. Wang Fang, the Vice-president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences have signed a cooperation memorandum to enhance the relations between the two sides in the field of agricultural science and technology.

       Dear Faculty members, Webometrics is going to enter the indicator of the citations on Google Scholar for the best 10 scientists of the University as following: «The recent developments by Google Scholar Citations involving new institutional profiles provide us a reliable source of research impact information. The idea will be to count the combined number of citations of the top 10 scientists in the available university GSC profiles. We are still researching about the weighting of this indicator that should be detracted from 50% that we now assigned to the visibility».

     Prof. Dr. Hesham Abu El Enin, the University Vice-president for Postgraduate Studies and Researches’ Affairs has met with the Organizing Committee to follow the final touches of the 1st Scientific Conference “The Role of University Libraries in the Third Millennium” whcich will be held in the duration from 24/11 to 25/11/2015, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ali Shams El Din, the University President at the great hall of celebrations in the faculty of commerce.
