Important Announcement: Lecture Schedule (Previous Bylaws) – Second Semester

The Administration of the Faculty of Arts at Benha University announces the approval and availability of the lecture schedules for students registered under the Previous Bylaws for the second semester of the current academic year.

Important Notice for Faculty of Arts Students Regarding the E-Book Platform

In line with the Faculty’s commitment to student interest, and in accordance with the national and Benha University initiatives toward digital transformation, the E-Learning Administration has launched an online form via Microsoft Forms. Students can use this form to submit any technical issues or inquiries, and the E-Learning Officer will respond and resolve them as quickly as possible. Most current issues are related to lost or forgotten passwords.

Important Note: The form will be available for two weeks only: February 25 – March 11.

How to Access the Platform:

1. First-time login: Use your National ID number as both your username and password.
2. Ensure your username is your National ID, and all personal information is correct.
3. Navigate: Faculty → Section → Year → Courses, then select the desired book, choose Fawry payment, and obtain the code.
4. The code is valid for 3 days maximum. You cannot generate another code for the same course, and the book will be automatically available after payment.
5. If you forget your password, use the “Forgot Password” feature or contact the university E-Book platform administrator at the Faculty, Dr. Ali Shaker.

A Great Success for the Conference of the Faculty of Arts at Benha University

Under the patronage of Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, Prof. Jehan Abdel Hady, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, accompanied by Prof. Amgad Hegazi, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, inaugurated the activities of the 2nd Annual International Conference of the Faculty of Arts, Benha University. The two-day conference was held under the title: “Integration of Humanities and Technology: New Prospects for Achieving Sustainable Development Goals.” The conference featured a lecture by Prof. Hesham Azmi, Head of the Egyptian Intellectual Property Office, on Intellectual Property as a Framework for Knowledge Governance in the Age of Interdisciplinary Sciences.

The conference was attended by Prof. Mohamed Mesbah, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs and Rapporteur of the student conference, Prof. Amal Youssef, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research and conference Rapporteur, along with faculty members.

Prof. Jehan Abdel Hady pointed out the importance of the conference as a scientific platform for serious dialogue, experience exchange, and the presentation of new perspectives that contribute to linking scientific research with community issues and development plans. She highlighted that Benha University pays great attention to the postgraduate studies and scientific research sector, believing that scientific research is the primary driver of development and future building.

The Vice President of the University added that sustainable development is no longer the responsibility of a single discipline; rather, it results from the integration of the humanities, which provide understanding of human and societal aspects, and technological sciences, which offer tools and innovations capable of driving change.

Meanwhile, Prof. Hesham Azmi reviewed the activities of the Egyptian Intellectual Property Office, including establishing coordination and cooperation mechanisms, providing technical support, and raising awareness about intellectual property rights among ministries and relevant entities. He also explained the Office’s efforts to encourage researchers, inventors, start-ups, and small to micro enterprises to register their research outputs, inventions, and creative works, and to obtain the necessary protection documents to maximize their benefits. Prof. Azmi emphasized that the Egyptian Constitution provides for the protection of intellectual property rights, which laid the foundation for creating a specialized Intellectual Property Authority in Egypt. This authority aims to establish a more efficient intellectual property system that contributes to achieving Egypt’s Sustainable Development Goals, through institutional governance of intellectual property and the necessary legislative framework to activate its economic impact.

Prof. Amgad Hegazi, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and President of the Conference, stressed that real development is achieved through the integration of knowledge and innovation together, pointing out that the conference addressed multiple key themes, including digital transformation, artificial intelligence, identity and culture, ethics, and the role of educational institutions in supporting sustainable development, emphasizing the use of technology for the benefit of humanity and society.
