Registration Procedures
-
Registration for Master’s and Ph.D. Programs
- Registration is mandatory for the student in order to be allowed to attend the courses required for obtaining the degree.
- A student who does not register by the end of the second week of the semester (or the first week of the summer semester) is not allowed to attend lectures, not allowed to take exams, and is considered absent, unless the student completes the procedures for suspending enrollment.
- Students expected to graduate must fill out the designated form before the beginning of the final semester so that the department can determine the number of new students who can be admitted in the following semester.
-
Continuation of Dissertation Registration
- The student (PhD stage) registers research hours after passing the qualifying exam and obtains the degree after successfully defending the dissertation.
- The registration fees for dissertation hours are equal to half the fees of other coursework credit hours.
- The student continues registering for dissertation units in all semesters until completing the dissertation for submission to the examination and defense committee, without interruption, unless the student takes the procedures for suspending enrollment.
