Seminar Entitled: “Impact of AI on the Employability of the Language Translators”

As part of its continuous efforts to connect academic education with the evolving demands of the labor market, the Department of English Language and Literature at the Faculty of Arts, Benha University, is organizing an important academic seminar that discusses the growing impact of artificial intelligence technologies on the field of translation.

The seminar is titled: “Impact of AI on the Employability of the Language Translators.”

The event is held under the patronage of:

  • Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy – President of Benha University
  • Prof. Amgad Hegazy – Dean of the Faculty of Arts
  • Prof. Amel Omar – Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research
  • Prof. Hesham Hassan – Head of the Department of English Language and Literature

The seminar will take place on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM, in the Scientific Discussion Hall at the Faculty.

The department is honored to host Mr. Ammar El-Gohary, Chairman of the Board of Elaph Translation Company, who will share his professional insights and practical experience regarding the new challenges and opportunities that digital transformation presents for translators. This initiative comes within the framework of the fruitful cooperation between the Faculty of Arts and Elaph Translation Company, which aims to prepare students and graduates to meet the requirements of the modern labor market. The collaboration focuses on integrating academic and professional expertise to support young talents in the field of translation and enhance their awareness of the rapid technological transformations.

Attendance is open to students, researchers, and faculty members who are interested in enriching the discussion and exploring the opportunities that artificial intelligence offers for the translation profession.
