Competitive Advantages of the Information and Knowledge Technologies Program
The program possesses competitive advantages that contribute to its marketing through video materials produced by the Department of Media, which are published on the department’s social media platforms.
A brainstorming session was conducted among the members of the "Mission, Vision, and Program Management" standard team to present the program's competitive advantages, which were subsequently submitted to and approved by the Department Council.
The Department of Information and Knowledge Technologies at the Faculty of Arts, Benha University, is considered a unique program among Egyptian universities. It is characterized by a set of distinctive features that allow it to compete with other programs at the faculty level, as follows:
Faculty Expertise and Leadership
The program's faculty members possess a high level of scientific and practical competence and experience. For example:
* Three professors serve as reviewers on the Scientific Committee for the promotion of Professors and Associate Professors, which strengthens the academic standing of the faculty, assisting staff, and students.
* Five professors serve as reviewers for various specialized local and regional scientific journals, contributing to the development of the educational process.
* Faculty members hold key positions, including the Dean of the Faculty and the Vice Dean of the Faculty.
* Three faculty members have served as Managing Editors for the Journal of the Faculty of Arts, Benha University, enriching their scientific and methodological expertise.
* One member is a Regional Trainer certified by the International Board of Certified Trainers (IBCT) and the National Center for Faculty and Leadership Development (NCFLD).
* Three members have rotated in the Chairmanship of the Department Council.
* Four members have been tasked with heading the "Control Rooms" (Examination Committees) at the faculty level to date.
* Members hold specialized roles such as the Credit Hour Programs Coordinator (faculty level), Director of the Digital Library (university level), Director of the IT Unit, and Director of the Vision Unit.
* Faculty and assisting staff have completed numerous courses in quality assurance, e-course preparation, academic advising, and TOT (Training of Trainers), positively impacting the educational process.
* Some professors have authored the "Information Technology Series," which consists of 25 books.
* Some professors have worked abroad, holding positions as Department Heads, Vice Deans, and Directors of Program Development Units at the university level.
Practical Training and External Engagement
* The program provides field training in prestigious institutions such as the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the National Library and Archives (Dar al-Kutub), and foreign university libraries. This facilitates the application of theoretical knowledge and fosters interaction between the department and the community.

* The program boasts modern infrastructure, including a computer lab equipped with the latest hardware and educational software to enhance practical skills.
* A dedicated bibliographic lab equipped with tools and intellectual production increases student proficiency in technical operations for various information carriers, preparing them for the labor market.

* Students gain skills in modern technologies, effective communication, and the interpretation and analysis of aerial and satellite imagery, which attracts international students to the program.
