Objectives of the Media Department
The Media Department at the Faculty of Arts, Banha University aims to prepare graduates with a high level of professional and academic competence, capable of adapting to the rapid changes in the media environment. Graduates are expected to possess a set of competencies that qualify them to work and innovate across various fields of traditional and digital media, including the following:
- The ability to understand surrounding social and political conditions and developments, and their impact on media messages.
- Proficiency in using modern technological tools, methods, and techniques to produce media content at a professional level.
- Effective application of scientific research methodologies in studying and analyzing media and audience-related phenomena.
- Practicing media work within a framework of commitment to professional ethics and media codes of conduct.
- Understanding and analyzing the target audience, and communicating with them effectively through multiple platforms.
- Continuous development of professional and research knowledge and skills to keep pace with ongoing developments in the media industry.
- Full mastery of the Arabic language used in media work, along with proficiency in at least one foreign language.
- Competence in engaging with both local and international information sources, analyzing and utilizing them with objectivity and accuracy.
- The ability to effectively employ the features of new media platforms in media planning, production, and distribution.
- Possession of creative thinking and analytical cultural skills, with a commitment to objectivity, accuracy, and integrity in addressing media issues.
