Faculty of Arts at Benha University Announces the Annual Community Iftar in the Faculty courtyard
Under the auspices of Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University; Prof. Jehan Abdel Hady, Vice President of the University; Prof. Amgad Hegazi, Dean of the Faculty of Arts; and Prof. Mohamed Mesbah, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; and under the supervision of Ms. Shaimaa Mohamed Hazem, Director of the Youth Welfare Department, and Mr. Ahmed Hosni, Supervisor of the Social Committee;
The Student Union of the Faculty of Arts will organize the Annual Community Iftar in the Faculty courtyard on Saturday, March 7, 2026, corresponding to the 17th day of the holy month of Ramadan, in a warm Ramadan atmosphere characterized by fellowship, cooperation, and belonging.
The day’s activities are scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM, featuring a diverse program of sports, cultural, and recreational activities, including football matches, chess competitions, and recreational games. The program will also include religious and cultural contests as well as general knowledge quizzes, offering students the opportunity to participate actively and enjoy their time before Iftar.
The Community Iftar will be held in the Faculty courtyard immediately after the Maghrib azan, attended by the Dean, Vice Deans, faculty members, administrative staff, students, and alumni, reflecting the spirit of unity and the family-like atmosphere that distinguishes the Faculty community.
The event aims to strengthen bonds of communication and goodwill among students, faculty members, and staff, promote the values of cooperation and belonging, and create a welcoming environment that brings together all members of the Faculty in a distinctive Ramadan setting.
The Iftar meal will include a quarter grilled chicken, a portion of kofta, rice, tahini, salad, bread, a bottle of water, juice, and a soft drink, in addition to Ramadan sweets and assorted juices. The event will also feature participation in the “Iftar for a Fasting Person” initiative, supporting the values of community solidarity.
Following Iftar, the evening program will continue with religious chanting, a social gathering segment, and student talent performances in poetry, singing, recitation, and artistic sketches. The evening will conclude with a group photograph commemorating the occasion.
The participation fee is 250 EGP per person.
