Benha University Opens Applications for University Residence Halls for the 2026/2027 Academic Year
The General Administration of University Residence Halls at Benha University has announced the opening of applications for student accommodation for the 2026/2027 academic year, as part of the University's preparations to welcome students seeking on-campus housing across its various residence hall locations.
Applications are now open for standard accommodation and premium accommodation at the University's residence halls in Benha, Toukh, Moshtohor, and Shubra, as well as for the hotel-style residence in Benha and the New University Residence Halls in Benha for both male and female students.
Application Schedule

Returning students: Applications will be accepted from August 1 to August 31, 2026.

New students: Applications will open for 15 days following the announcement of the admission results for each coordination phase.
Admission Criteria
Applications will be evaluated according to the University's approved admission criteria:

Returning students: Priority will be given based on higher academic achievement, followed by greater distance from the University.

New students: Priority will be determined by greater distance, then higher secondary school grades, and finally younger age.
For standard accommodation, applicants must reside at least 50 kilometers from the University.
Application Procedure
As part of the University's digital transformation initiative, students are required to submit their applications electronically through the Al-Zahraa University Residence Halls Portal. After completing the online application, students must:

Obtain all required signatures and approvals from the student, parent or guardian, faculty, and guarantor.

Pay the application and medical examination fees electronically through the student's online account.
The completed and approved paper application must then be submitted to the Housing Administration at the General Administration of University Residence Halls in Kafr Saad. The University emphasized that electronic applications will not be considered unless the required hard-copy documents are submitted.
Important Instructions
Students are advised to:

Keep their National ID number and password used during registration.

Upload a recent personal photograph to the online portal.

Obtain a bank Visa card in the student's name.

Ensure that the student's registered address matches that of the parent or guardian.
The medical examination will be conducted during September 2026, according to a schedule that will be announced at a later date.
The General Administration of University Residence Halls reserves the right to reject any application containing inaccurate or false information and to take the necessary legal action where applicable.
