* The Department of History and Archaeology at the Faculty of Arts welcomes all new and returning students and congratulates them on the start of the new academic year.

 * Professor Abdel-Latif Al-Sabbagh has assumed the position of Dean of the Faculty of Arts, following his selection in accordance with university leadership appointment protocols.

 * Professor El-Sayed Rushdie Mohammed has assumed the position of Head of the Department of History and Archaeology, following his selection in accordance with university leadership appointment protocols.

 * Dr. Abdullah Fawzy Al-Janayni has been promoted to the rank of Lecturer in the Department of History and Archaeology, after obtaining his PhD in Modern and Contemporary History with First-Class Honors.
